No. BitBuddy is a paper classroom. Practice cash, paper trades, staking yield, the mining game, the wallet sandbox, and the transaction lab have no cash value. Nothing here settles on Bitcoin, Ethereum, or a licensed exchange. There is no withdrawal.

A seed phrase (sometimes called a recovery phrase) is a list of words that backs up the keys a real wallet uses. Anyone who has those words can spend the funds. Coins live on the ledger; the seed is the spare key. See the glossary entry if you want the short definition.

Never. We will not ask you to type, paste, photograph, or “verify” a seed, private key, or recovery phrase. Nobody legitimate needs those to help you. The wallet sandbox shows fake keys labeled TEST-ONLY so you can see the idea without touching a real backup.

No. On BitBuddy, staking is a classroom formula — APY × time on paper units. It is not DeFi, not a bank interest rate, and not a promise. Real staking can lock coins, slashing can cut a balance, and a venue can fail. “Risk-free yield” is a warning sign, including if you ever read it here.

A BitBuddy buy or sell updates a practice balance. A real venue has an order book or a dealer, identity checks, custody rules, spreads, trading fees, and often a withdrawal fee. Our quotes are cached or simulated. They are not a live book you can hit.

A wallet holds keys, not a pile of coins. The coins are records on a public ledger. Your keys are what can move them. BitBuddy does not hold real keys. The paper wallet is a spreadsheet of practice cash; the sandbox is a fake key lab.

No. There is no cash-out, no bank link, and no on-chain send from this site. Reset returns you to $10,000 in practice cash. If a page ever asked you to “withdraw classroom funds” to a real address, that would be a scam — we will not do that.

Bitcoin is better described as pseudonymous: addresses are not legal names, but the ledger is public and can be studied. Exchanges often add KYC, which ties an account to an identity. Privacy is a research topic, not a guarantee, and not something this classroom can promise.

Know-your-customer is how many licensed venues verify who you are — often a photo ID. BitBuddy does not run KYC. We do not need a passport to let you read a lesson or place a paper trade. A real desk’s identity rules are theirs, not ours.

Custodial means someone else holds the keys (a typical exchange account). Self-custody means you hold them — and a lost seed is usually gone. Both have tradeoffs. Walk the exchange checklist before you pick either for real funds.

BTC and ETH use a server-cached market quote, refreshed every few minutes — not a streamed order book. Lesson coins and classroom-market fakes bounce on the server and are labeled simulated. None of those numbers is an offer to buy or sell real coins.

On most self-custody setups there is no help desk that can restore the keys. The coins stay on the address; nobody can sign. The sandbox’s “lose the key” step is a toy version of that feeling. Practice here while the money is imaginary.
